Why Nobody is Buying From Your Website

Why Design Agency Services Are Important

If you are wondering why no one seems to be buying anything from your website, even though you have spent a lot of time and effort on it, you should know that you are not alone.

So many people develop their own online businesses only to find that they are not getting the kind of conversion rates they would have expected, despite the fact that plenty of people are visiting the website to take a look.

It can be really upsetting and demotivating when this happens, but you should not give up! Instead, take a look at these common reasons why nobody is buying from your website, and if they apply to you, set about putting them right. Sometimes, all it takes is a few simple tweaks to get people clicking on those buy buttons!

Your images are not inviting

If you do not have a lot of good quality images on your website, then people will be much less likely to buy because they want to see what your products look like and they want to feel like they are buying from a reputable company.

Luckily, this is quite an easy issue to solve by investing in some affordable stock photos that will make your site look more inviting, along with taking lots of professional shots of your products from as many angles as you can. The more visual your website is, the more sales you are likely to make.

Buying is a burden

If you want people to buy things from your business website, you need to make it as easy as possible to do so. No one is going to bother making a purchase if they have to spend an age filling out an online form, then registering their payment card then jumping through several more hoops before they get to the stage of actually paying for the thing they want.

As a business, you need to make sure that paying is as easy as can be. You could do this by allowing fast guest checkouts, using buy now buttons so they can purchase things immediately, and of course, by offering as many different payment options as possible, so your customers have as many choices as possible.

Your prices are too high

There is something to be said for asking a decent price for the stuff you sell because often, if something costs a little more, it can make the customer feel like it is a more luxurious product but for the most part, you want your goods to be priced as competitively as possible. If your prices are much higher than your competitors’ prices, then few people are going to buy, especially in these days of price comparison sites where it is so easy to compare and find the best prices for just about anything you can think of.

Lack of trust

Some people do not spend enough time making their business websites look trustworthy and this can result in a low conversion rate. No one is going to risk giving their bank details over to what could be a scammer after all.

The good news is, it is not actually that difficult to make your website seem more trustworthy Start by ensuring your site has a security certificate, then ensure that it has no spelling errors and that it includes all of your business information, including contact details, and you will be off to a flying start.

Your sales copy is not persuasive

Many business owners are wrongly under the impression that the test on their websites are not all that important, but this could not be further from the truth. If you want to convert as many customers as possible, then you really need to get a good copywriter in to sell your products in a more convincing way using the right keywords and including all of the relevant information that buyers will want to know.

Too much choice

This might sound strange, but if you give your customers too much choice, whether it be in the number of products you stock, the number of color options available, or something else entirely, it can put them off from buying because they simply become paralyzed by the choice and cannot make a decision! Streamline your products and you might just see more sales.

It’s hard when nobody is buying anything from your website, but as you can see above, there are lots of simple mistakes that online business owners often make, and by putting them right you can reverse your fortunes, so what are you waiting for?
