Are you passionate about property? If so, there’s plenty of money to be made in bricks and mortar. There are a number of options depending on your career goals and your finances. The ways to profit from property management, for example, can be limitless. Here are just three examples:
Flip Houses Or Become A Developer
If you have money to invest, bricks and mortar is almost always a smart move. Perhaps you have savings, an inheritance, or even winnings of some kind. Invest them into a property, renovate it and sell it for massive profit. As your money snowballs, you can start buying more properties or work on bigger projects. Eventually you could even become a property developer, buying plots of land and creating buildings of your own design to erect and sell. The biggest issue with getting into this kind of business is you need money up front. At the very least, you need cash to purchase a property to sell and profit from.
Consider Being A Property Landlord
Becoming a landlord is a relatively easy way to get into property management. This is because you don’t necessarily need money upfront to purchase a home. With just a deposit, you can get a buy a home to rent out. That way, every time your tenant pays their rent, it goes towards paying the mortgage. Because rent tends to be more than mortgages on homes, the money you charge could cover the mortgage as well as landlord insurances and agent costs. You won’t reap the reward of profits until it’s paid off, but it could be something you could use for retirement. Once the home is paid, you could either sell it for instant cash, or continue renting it out each month and enjoying the regular income since it involves little or no work.
Become A Real Estate Agency
If you want to go a step further than simply purchasing a few properties and renting them out, why not become a real estate agent? While there’s plenty of competition, there’s also fantastic money to be made. As with any business, planning and market research is key to create good foundations for success. You’ll also want to find your niche, which kinds of properties will you specialize in? You could rent out student properties, or homes aimed at single working professionals. You could specialize in more luxury homes, or even tap into the holiday rental market. Ensure you have the best software, such as that related to real estate CRM to boost your leads and increase your profits. It’s certainly not the easiest or cheapest business to get started in, but if you’re passionate about property it’s a great way to earn money.
Have you considered a change of career that involves property? Which direction would you be most likely to go in?
