To be successful in business, you need to build brand awareness. Besides social media, there are a number of ways to effectively attract attention for your business. Trade show events, media coverage, and promotional materials are just a few. Having a solid plan to increase brand awareness requires looking outside the box and coming up with clever strategies.
Attend Trade Show Events
In order to reach your target audience, you need to go to where they are. There are numerous networking events you can attend, however, the best way to promote yourself is to exhibit a vendor booth at a trade show. Customized with your brand name and image, your exhibit will give hundreds of people the opportunity to see what you have to offer. To keep them at your booth, offer incentives, food and drink, and hands-on demonstrations of your product or service.
Gain Press Coverage
Having positive media or press coverage is not only free advertising, but it can build brand awareness overnight. For example, you could speak out about something affecting your industry, give an inspirational story about how you started out in business, or hold an event to launch a particular product. Remember, however, that the media (and the public) love a scandal as well as positive news stories. Be sure to plan what you’re going to say when going in front of cameras and journalist. Most importantly, always adhere to good morals in and out of business to ensure you don’t attract any negative publicity.
Use Promotional Merchandise
Want to get your brand out into the world? Then get it into the hands of those who count. Promotional merchandise is a fantastic way of building brand awareness and can include everything from pens to key rings. Be sure to choose items that are both reliable and cost-effective for your business. There is nothing worse than receiving a pen that doesn’t work, for example. If possible, spend a little more money on quality as opposed to purchasing quantity.
Organize a Promotional Stunt
To do something that sticks in people’s minds, market your brand with this out-of-the-box method. There are all kinds of things you can do, from breaking world records to doing something completely outrageous. Your only limitation is your imagination. Again, you need to be careful, as you don’t want to ruin your reputation by pulling off something that causes people harm. Whether you stick to tried and tested methods or do something off the wall, ensure you find as many ways as possible to build brand awareness.
