When you think about marketing, what immediately comes to mind? If you’ve said social media, then you’re not alone. Because right now, in today’s very digitally driven world, it’s what most of us say. But, if you’re limiting yourself and your business to just social media, and even to just the online world in general, you’re capping your capabilities. Instead, you need to be thinking about a complete marketing strategy and what that can do to your growth, sales, and success. Offline marketing is just as much a part of that as anything else. So, it’s time to ask yourself if you’re doing enough when it comes to offline.
If you’re not, don’t worry. You just need to take a look at any of these ideas to see how much they could be a benefit to you.
Branding
First up, we have branding. And this is crucial. It can span both your online and offline marketing world, but it helps to elevate everything that you’re doing in general. So if you do not have a clearly defined brand right now, this is what you need to work on next. You need to work with a designer to come up with a look that represents your core values well. This can then help you to communicate who you are and what you do, to your audience, with everything that you’re doing.
Events
When it comes to the activity that you can be doing offline, events are crucial. Sure, digital is cool and modern and engaging, but nothing beats real life relationship building. If you absolutely want to be sure that you are connecting with the right audience and building on the repour that you already have, planning, hosting, and really making the most of events is so important.
Traditional PR
PR is so powerful. If you want to create a buzz around your brand, you need it. If you want those in the industry or your clients or your target audience to be talking about you, then you need PR. So think about working with a consultant that can help you to get the relevant offline (and sometimes online) content that can elevate your marketing.
Marketing Collateral
Don’t underestimate the power of collateral too. Here you may think that flyers or brochures don’t matter, but they do. When you’ve got your branding together, you may find that printing the right materials can using them in campaigns can help. At the very least, it’s an incredibly strong way to support any other campaigns that you have going on.
Word-Of-Mouth
And finally, there’s always word-of-mouth marketing. This tends to be something that we forget about. We tend to think of the more mainstream and obvious (paid-for) marketing tactics when we need a boost in business. But trust is often the one factor that wins you business, so recommendations from existing customers and good reviews are always going to work in your favor. So make sure that you’re harnessing the power of word-of-mouth to your full advantage.
