When it comes to running your own business it can be hard to keep on top of things when you’re working on the go. With endless business meetings, exciting events to attend and day-to-day errands to run, life can be hectic. With that in mind, we’ve put together a list of tips for busy entrepreneurs working on the go.
Make Sure Your Laptop Is Charged And Ready To Go
You never know what might happen whilst you’re on the go, so ensuring your laptop is charged is essential. If you’re finding that you are having trouble with your battery draining fast, make sure you pack your charger for emergencies.
Find A Local Coffee Shop To Work In
If you’re on the go locally, finding a great coffee shop you can work in is a great way to time saver. Try finding yourself a place that makes you happy with good coffee, decent WiFi and an atmosphere you can really focus in. You may be able to hold some of your meetings there, depending on the client.
Visiting Somewhere New, Do Your Research
If you have to travel a lot for work, researching the places you’re visiting beforehand is a key. Before you leave, find out the best places to both work and eat, and plan the best routes there. The time and money you’ll save may be huge.
Take Your Planner Everywhere
Having a planner is an essential part of an entrepreneurs organization. Be sure to carry it with you at all times so you can make notes and jot down appointments.
Plan Your Travel Time Effectively
Whenever you have a long journey to take, planning your travel time effectively means you have an opportunity to work harder. Find out whether there’s an option to work on your laptop, your phone or your tablet and plan what work can easily be done on the go.
Have a Mobile Phone Plan With Lots of Data
If you’re always on the go it may not be possible to connect to WiFi wherever you are. With that in mind, it’s important to pick a mobile phone plan that includes a lot of data so you can continue to reply to emails and get your work done.
Pack Lightly
If working on the go involves long days of traveling, try to pack as lightly as possible. Take something to eat, a bottle of water, your laptop and your planner with you. This minimizes carrying around things you don’t need.
