How To Convert Your Traffic Into Customers

For many entrepreneurs, success comes from seeing an increase in traffic on your website. You have arrived, or so you think. Seeing the traffic growth is a wonderful accomplishment, but how do you convert your traffic into customers? While your website may be the tool to convert, there are many other factors that must be in place. Your products and services, marketing strategy, and return sales are things you need to consider. To keep your conversion rates up, you must begin to put yourself in the role of your customer.

Website Layout

The layout of your website is going to play such a big part in converting your traffic into customers. If your website layout is poor, it’s common sense that the conversions you’re going to get will be low. But, this is what a lot of companies out there are suffering with. Due to the poor layout of their website, a lot of customers turn to their competition for a more simple process. To catch the eye of the user instantly, you need to focus on the design. It needs to be as crisp and fresh as possible, which may require a redesign every year. That way, you can implement all of the newest software, switch up your design, and actually keep your website super interesting.

You also need to make sure that everything flows with your website in terms of the design. The navigation should be easy to follow, the search bar highly visible, and all of the categories need to be organized. The amount of companies that have random products in random categories is huge, which looks unprofessional to the user. In addition, make sure that you use a website designer who can be trusted.

Product Appeal

Website images, especially product related, are a key aspect in converting traffic into customers. The way that your products look in the picture is so important. Some companies simply take the picture from their phones and edit it somewhat to make it look better. This is not recommended because it will be false advertising, have a low quality, and turn away customers. Although it may cost more, we highly recommend that you hire a photographer to take professional images for you. You need to naturally capture the eye of the user, without having to heavily edit the pictures. That way, your customer knows what they’re getting, and the whole feel of your website is going to be more professional.

Don’t Let The Sale Be The End

Have you ever tested a purchase on your own website? It is definitely something worth doing so that you are aware of what your customers experience. The lack of prompting that some checkouts have is terrible. After all, the checkout is the final way of bringing in more money from a purchase. What you need to incorporate into your checkout process are sales funnels. It’s a technique that allows a company to funnel customers to another area of interest. A sales funnel template could be signing up to an emailing list, a discount on the next order, or anything else that might move them towards another sale. It’s such a clever technique if you’re looking to subtly make more money. You’re not telling them outright to buy something, which is considered pushy by most customers. You’re funneling them to something that will benefit the both of you, which is what is so great about this technique!

Marketing

Marketing is a tool you’re going to use away from your actual website, but it’s a great way of converting traffic into customers. The traffic you’ll be converting might not necessarily have visited your website yet, but catching their eye using various marketing techniques is important. There are two big ways to accomplish this. The first is social media marketing, and the second is SEO. Social media marketing is great because you can create funky posts, interact with customers of all ages, and do daily updates to entice potential customers. SEO pushes you up the ranks in search engines, making you more visible to traffic, which then allows your website to convert them into customers.
