It works because both sides of the equation are meeting in the middle. The employee feels comfortable to voice their opinions and frustrations, and you are building a positive company culture.

This idea of community in business can be very difficult to attain. However, if you lead by example, and hold yourself as accountable to mistakes, you are providing the template your employees can follow. Ultimately, in any company, its internal image can be damaged by one thing, yourself. If you don’t lead in the right way or provide enough reassurance for your employees, you are not going to be successful. This will hurt your internal and external image.

Providing support for your employees can encompass so many things, but you have to provide a safe and nurturing environment, in conjunction with a close-knit community. Get these two things right, and your business will prove to be a profitable entity, but a personable one too.
